Integrated Complementary TherapiesIbogaine is a uniquely powerful tool for self exploration. An experience with ibogaine provides a window of opportunity to look deeper into one's self and explore issues related to healing and recovery. After such a powerful experience it is important to reflect, discuss and take time to focus on how to integrate positive factors in your life that will contribute to increased health, raised self esteem and a positive outlook on life. The following options and activities are included in our program to complement the reintegration process in the days following an ibogaine therapy:
Massage therapy can aid in restimulating body muscles after being inactive for a long period of time. It helps to increase circulation, remove toxins, increase energy, reduces nervous tension and induces relaxation. Guided Breathwork It is possible to induce profound changes in consciousness through focused breathing techniques. Breathwork meditation can induce a state of consciousness which can lead to increased relaxation, expansiveness and sense of wellbeing that aids in centering the body and mind. Reiki Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work which focuses on rebalancing and harmonizing one's energetic field, this healing is done by positioning and moving the hands over the body in a non invasive way. No physical contact occurs in this form of therapy.
Our facility is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia and many trails and paths existing in the area are wonderful for exploring. We also facilitate yoga sessions or other simple stretching techniques. Artistic expression of a visionary experience can catalyze powerful healing through a symbolic exploration of conscious and unconscious material. Art therapy can be an important part of the interpretation and re-integration of an ibogaine experience. Music Therapy Music is a powerful form of expression that can induce healing, relaxation and inspiration. We explore this through options such as listening to inspirational music, playing instruments and/or singing. We can also organize a shamanic drumming workshop or accompaniment by request.
Diet and nutrition are highly important factors in relation to recovery and overcoming cravings. To open up mindfulness of how to strengthen and maintain health we actively facilitate dialogue on integrating healthy eating habits and using vitamins, supplements, herbs and other nutritional therapies. Recovery Planning Having a clear vision of how to manifest goals is essential in recovery planning. A counselor on staff will facilitate a recovery planning session to explore potential options for aftercare, strategies for dealing with stress, recognizing triggers and potential relapse issues, and help to create a plan for furthering positive goals and actualizing dreams. The counselor may also offer referrals for various services such as counseling, psychotherapy, long-term aftercare, health services, pain management assistance, group support, educational activities and other healing modalities. Auricular Acupuncture Ear acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique used to help people deal with and recover from chemical dependence. It has been shown in a variety of clinical settings to be beneficial in the process of detoxification from substance abuse as well as to help with the emotional, physical and psychological issues involved in addictions.
Other Available Services Other additional services may be requested. We can organize the following services or options for you to participate in (provided at-cost):
