The Iboga Therapy House is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the therapeutic uses of ibogaine.
We offer a holistic ibogaine-assisted detoxification program to help facilitate recovery from dependence to chemical substances as well as a safe and supportive environment for personal psychospiritual therapy. Our programs are based on harm-reduction, resiliency-building and transpersonal psychology perspectives and we center our approach on understanding and promoting health on all levels.
Ibogaine is a naturally-occurring herbal substance found in the rootbark of a plant called Tabernanthe Iboga that grows in the forests of West Africa where it has a long history of traditional use as a potent medicinal, ceremonial and spiritual tool.
For the last 40 years it has increasingly been researched as a highly promising therapy for detoxification from drugs that cause dependence. It has unique therapeutic properties including the significant prevention of painful physical withdrawal symptoms from opiates within a single dose administration modality. It also demonstrates properties that suggest it prevents cravings for drugs such as opiates, stimulants such as cocaine/crack, amphetamines, alcohol and other drugs such as caffeine and may also act as a natural preventative of depression for prolonged periods of time.
Those who have used it to assist in their recovery from addiction and those utilizing it for meaningful psychospiritual development also strongly suggest it is effective in initiating a transformative experience that may be therapeutic and healing on psychological, emotional and spiritual levels.
The Iboga Therapy House is now closed due to reasons of financial instability and the ever increasing economic costs associated with running the program here in B.C., Canada. Without any outside sources of funding it is difficult to maintain the quality of the programs we offer as a non-profit organisation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely wish you all the best in finding an ibogaine therapy provider that will facilitate this beautiful experience for you in a safe, trustworthy and conscientious manner.
It has been a wonderful journey for everyone on the team to facilitate this program and to witness the incredible healing capacity of all of those who have placed their trust in themselves, in us and in the restorative medicine of the ibogaine... We are sad that our closing is due simply to finances but are quite proud of the great work that has been done.
We intend to publish our own edition of the Manual for Ibogaine Therapy as well as a book of experience reports in addition to publishing our data on the phenomenal success rates in both detoxification and psychospiritual therapy. We will continue to support the research of MAPS - The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies - as well as the work of GITA - the Global Ibogaine Therapy Alliance - in setting ethical frameworks, quality and safety standards worldwide. Please support their work.
We would like to express our immense gratitude to all of the people and organizations who have supported us over the years, and most especially to the spirit of ibogaine - a great and beloved facilitator of healing for those who are willing to do the good work...
Thank you ever so much,
The Iboga Therapy Society
